Chi Psi's of the middle ages will be gathering for this year's Big Game (the last stop except for that irritating trip to Hattiesberg that we have to make the week after on the way to a BCS Bowl - where by the way, Phase II of this reunion tour will occur) on 11/19 and 11/20. Festivities will occur as follows: 1. Pre-Game Meal: Friday 11/19 at the World Trade Club in the City. The World Trade Club is immediately behind the south end of the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero. If I could be more specific I would. File all complaints with Sandell. 6 pm start with dinner at 7 PM. Dinner, undoubtedly rubber chicken (Cardinal?), will run $55. Cocktails will be available in abundance but not provided for either in the cost of your dinner or by the Organizing Committee (you are encouraged however to buy drinks for the Organizing Committee). In other words, a no host bar. A group from Larry Batina's era (they are truly middle aged) will also be joining us. Be sure to be there by 7 as Bert will regale us with his impersonation of Joe Starkey doing the Play Call promptly at 7. The Band is on the field...Ending time for this portion of the festivities is really up to all of you. 2. On Saturday we will gather at the Deck at the Lodge on Piedmont (no, this isn't Alice Waters' new East Bay hot spot) around 10. 12:30 start I believe for the game. We will have kegs for old timesake, maybe some Bloodys and nonalcoholic beverages too (not my idea). Families are encouraged for this portion of our event. If you hadn't made the connection already, families are not encouraged on Friday night. Obviously, we'll follow with the short walk up to Strawberry Canyon (if anyone has an extra wheelchair, we'll need one for OP) and Tedford Memorial Stadium around Noon. This will end the formal portion of our activities although I would presume that informal activities (Top Dog followed by dessert at Flynt's - I'd offer to buy a round at Bertola's but sadly it's gone - perhaps a moment of silence on Friday night over triples) may continue for sometime afterwards, particularly and as I predict, the Bears will be BCS Bound at this point. Early attendees include Pooch, OP Meyers, Rasta, Brose, Mattos, Krask, Munch, Killion, Grame Coyle (where's Bill?) yours truly and Dave Handy. Donaldson, all the way from Liverpool, is rumored to be attending. So, what you can do is: 1. Let me know you're attending. Best way to do that is to reply to this email. Head count for dinner is flexible, but we'd like to know the final attendance figures by 11/12. Again, $55 for dinner - it'll be lousy but the evening will be great fun. No cash.
